papilio began with a pair of hands, a lump of clay, and the quiet joy of making. Each cup, bowl and pot is thrown and painted by hand in Oman — slowly, and with a lot of care.

We love the small imperfections: the uneven checker squares, the doodled faces, the bow that's a little wonky. They're proof a person made this, for a person.

Nothing here is mass-produced. When a piece finds you, it's the only one exactly like it in the world.
